Important details
Our experienced guide will give you a basic introduction on how to start, stop and steer the horse, before heading out on the trip. Older children and/or those with some experience and adults, can ride alone. However young children and inexperienced riders can have someone to lead their horse. This can be either a trek assistant or a parent. Parents will get an introduction to how to lead the horse safely. If you want to ride yourself but would like one of our trek assistants to lead your child’s horse, please remember to let us know in advance.
At the mountain farm, we provide you with bedlinen and towels.
Dressing for the winter: Please dress warm enough for you to stay comfortable for some hours at a time in up to -20 degrees Celcius. Best is a wool baselayer, long johns and some warm, puffy isolated clothing, e.g. a down jacket. Skiing clothes are also fine. Bring warm winter boots that are not too chunky, so they can fit into the stirrups. A tube scarf can fit under your helmet if needed.
Please bring some food with you for the bus ride. We will serve you the first meal in the evening and a lunch at day 2.
