Day 4: Hike to Vetti Waterfall

Transport: From Årdalstangen to Øvre Årdal and from Øvre Årdal to Årdalstangen

Activity: Discover Vetisfossen, Norway’s tallest free-falling waterfall, on a scenic 4-hour hike from Hjelle. Enjoy breathtaking views and a peaceful stop at Vetti Gard Turiststasjon along the way.

Day 5: Flåmsbana ride, zipline, bicycle ride

Transport: From Årdalstangen to Flåm and from Øvre Årdal to Årdalstangen

Glide silently through one of the most-renowned fjord in West Norway, on board on the top-of-art boat technology, which will allow you to enjoy the panorama and the sounds of nature without the engine’s noise in background! You can choose to stay outside or inside during the trip – but the view is going to be equally breath-taking.

Train Flåm – Bergen
Enjoy a relaxing trip one of the most beautiful train rides of the world! By catching the train from Flåm, you will get to experience hhills and mountains in direction Bergen, crossing forests, rivers and plateaus whilst comfortably seated on the train! 

Sauna Flåm/ Aurland
Anchored at the boat quai in Flåm, you can treat your body with a royal immersion in steam after a long, active day in the Norwegian nature – or fauna… And when things get hot, dive into the fjord for a quick freshen up! 

RIB Safari
This tour will take you up and close to waterfalls, secluded villages and pure, fresh air! Our guide will provide you with interesting and detailed accounts of the wildlife residing in this part of the fjord, as well as curiosities of the villages scattered along the coast, making you see the fjords from a total different perspective! Waterfall Hike
We combine two of Norway’s most iconic features: hiking and waterfalls. We start with a visit to Turli waterfall, where its powerful sound greets us as we approach along an old farm path; we’ll pause at a small plateau to enjoy breathtaking landscapes before continuing to the famous Stegastein viewpoint, offering panoramic views of a majestic fjord. 

Economusee Aurland
Join us on this tour where you can discover more about hidden fashion history! Back in the 1800s, when the salmon lords used to visit Flåm for hunting and fishing, and in need for shoe reparation, a local educated as a shoemaker in the States, implemented and popularized in Norway the style in use in the Native tribes. 

Fra Fjord til fjell hike
Join on an adventure from fjord to the mountains, you will start with a short paddling trip to Nundalen until the Haugstad farm, where the guide will tales about industry, economics and the connection with Årdal!

Klingenberg
Opened in 1861 as a point of passage for hikers and climbers passing by in the region for outdoor adventure, Klingenberg skysstasjon evolved itself into a modern facility. At the very end of the Sognefjord, the hotel offers accommodation in a charming surrounding. Add unique experiences close by – Flåmsbana, Stegastein Viewpoint, Rallarvegen, Vettisfossen waterfall and many others – and you will have the perfect location for a quiet retreat close to main point of attractions! 

Fjordtell Gudvangen
Located in the secluded village of Gudvangen, Fjordtell offers rooms with different styles (standard or Viking styled), as well as a wide selection of restaurant according to each palate, with stunning views to graze upon!

Meals

Along the Fjord Mountain Route, all restaurants serve delicious meals made with local ingredients, offering you a true taste of Norway. If guests have any dietary requirements, these must be submitted with the booking, and all restaurants will accommodate with appropriate dishes.

  • Hikes can last between 1-2 hours. 
  • There may be some ascents to tackle. 
  • You can’t always sit down anywhere, and some activities may require holding on, such as during RIB boat tours or dog sledding. 
  • Basic technical skills, such as knowing how to ride a bike, may be necessary. 
  • Activities are not necessarily universally accessible.
