Would you like a summer job where you drive through some of Norway’s most spectacular high-mountain landscapes – while playing a key role in the experience of our international guests?
Jotunheimen Travel is looking for a motivated, independent and service-minded driver to join our luggage transport team for the summer season 2026.
We organize hiking and cycling tours in Jotunheimen and Valdres, allowing our guests to walk and ride with light backpacks. That’s where you come in: you make sure their luggage meets them at the next accommodation – every single day.
You are not “just” a driver.
You are an essential part of the overall guest experience.
Your Responsibilities
We operate two electric luggage vehicles based in Beitostølen, running daily routes through the mountain region.
Route 1:
Beitostølen – Bygdin – Valdresflya – Gjendesheim – Lemonsjøen – Ruten – Jotunheimvegen – back to Bygdin
Route 2:
Tyinkrysset – Syndinstøga – Gomobu – Kamben – Fagernes – back to Beitostølen
You will transport suitcases, backpacks and occasionally bicycles between accommodations.
This requires that you:
- Work closely with our office team and local partners
- Stay organized and detail-oriented
- Take full responsibility for ensuring luggage arrives at the right place, at the right time
- Handle both small and unexpected challenges calmly and solution-oriented
You Will Also Meet Our Guests
On many days, you will meet guests while delivering their luggage. For them, you represent Jotunheimen Travel.
Therefore, it is important that you:
- Are naturally service-minded and approachable
- Communicate confidently in Norwegian and English (additional languages are a plus)
- Understand that you are part of their travel experience
- Are willing to assist if challenges arise (for example bike issues or extra luggage)
Working Hours
Depending on bookings, typically between 4–8 hours per day.

We are Travelife Certified and committed to reducing our environmental footprint.
All luggage transport is carried out using electric vans.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is:
- Service-oriented and welcoming
- Independent, structured and solution-focused
- Flexible and responsible
- In good physical condition (you must be able to lift and carry luggage)
- Holder of a valid driver’s license (Class B – trailer license is an advantage)
