Jotunheimen Travel gets its adventurous spirit from a fantastic group of suppliers across the region: from Valdres, Jotunheimen, and Indre Sogn to Oslo, Bergen, Rondane, and Dovre. Without these partners, we wouldn’t be able to create the unforgettable experiences our guests are so happy about. So, we thought, why not bring everyone together to celebrate their hard work – and get to know each other even better. 

The perfect opportunity presented itself with the Rakfisk Festival, held on the first weekend of November in Fagernes. This festival is all about a very special, well, distinct fish tradition in Valdres that brings thousands of visitors to our little corner of Norway every year. So, we decided to ride the wave – or should we say the fish aroma? – and host our own get-together. 

A Tradition in the Making: Here to Stays 

And what a turnout! Around 50 suppliers joined us for an evening filled with fantastic food, regional drinks, and great company. We at Jotunheimen Travel got to share some of our highlights from the season, including numbers, great guest feedback, and even a sneak peek at our future plans and products.  

After the formalities, it was time for some fun! We all moved to the festival tent for live music from both local talents and well-known artists. It was the perfect way to celebrate, and by the end, it was obvious: this event is here to stay as an annual tradition.

This gathering gave our suppliers a chance to connect, get to know each other better, and enjoy the amazing vibe of a local food festival.
