Schedule

Early in the morning, you will leave Oslo with a comfortable bus.

On this 4-hours bus ride from Oslo to Beitostølen you will pass through the valley of Begnadalen and the beautiful region of Valdres, before arriving tp Beitostølen skiing resort. Outside the window you will probably be able to see frozen lakes, waterfalls, and a perfectly white landscape colored by traditional Norwegian lodge houses.

When you arrive in Beitostølen, the guide will pick you up and drive you to the husky farm where dozens of huskies are awaiting you. You will get to know the dogs and how to manage, lead and steer the sledge and your team of huskies. Once you get the hang of it, there will be a 12-16 km dog sledding tour where you can put your skills into practice together with your guide. The dog sledding tour is about 2,5 hours and you will have plenty of time to enjoy the experience and scenery in the fantastic winter landscape with Jotunheimen mountain peaks in the background.

Normally two people will share a sled, one steering and one sitting on the sled, changing positions along the trail. Small children can sit together with an adult. If you don’t wish to steer the huskies, just let us know in advance so we can plan ahead.

Back at the husky farm, you need to say goodbye to your four-legged friends to catch the bus back to Oslo where you will arrive approximately at 10pm.
