JVB Travel delivers sustainable, nature-based experiences in Jotunheimen, Valdres, Western Norway and the region between Oslo and Bergen through our brands Jotunheimen Travel and Fjord Mountain Route.
We work with guests from all over the world – individual travelers, small groups and international tour operators – who seek authentic, active and locally rooted experiences in mountains and fjords.
While many of our tours are self-guided, we see a growing demand for qualified guides who can provide safety, professional expertise and that extra dimension that makes a journey truly memorable.
We are therefore always interested in connecting with skilled guides to join our guide pool – for both summer and winter seasons.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about creating outstanding guest experiences
- Has solid outdoor competence and can guide both moderate and more demanding tours, depending on qualifications
- Holds relevant guiding certification (or documented and substantial experience)
- Communicates confidently and clearly in English
- Ideally speaks additional languages such as Norwegian, German, French, Spanish or Italian
- Has experience with one or more of the following activities:
- Multi-day hut-to-hut hiking tours
- Day hikes with focus on storytelling, local nature and culture, and safe execution
- Multi-day cycling or gravel bike guiding
- Winter tours with cross-country skiing and/or snowshoeing
- Multi-day backcountry ski tours between mountain lodges
- Wants to contribute to further developing JVB Travel as a leading provider of sustainable experiential tourism
We are especially looking for guides who understand the importance of local culture, nature stewardship and safe travel in mountain environments.
