A Highlight of the Year
The last Friday in October marked one of the highlights of our year at Jotunheimen Travel – our annual partner event, held during the lively Rakfiskfestivalen in Fagernes. This event has become a tradition, bringing together many of our valued partners, suppliers, and vendors to reflect on the past year and share what’s ahead.
Stronger Together
It was both inspiring and rewarding to meet the people who help create unforgettable travel experiences for our guests. Whether it’s hiking, skiing, or cycling in the stunning landscapes of Valdres and Jotunheimen, it wouldn’t be possible without the commitment, knowledge, and local insight of our strong regional network.
Insights and Inspiration
Throughout the day, we shared updates from the summer and winter seasons, insights from JVB Travel, and talked about ongoing efforts to improve our services and work more sustainably. We were especially pleased to host two guest speakers: Bård Brænde, who delivered an engaging and thoughtful talk on service and quality, and Safari, who entertained and inspired us with his unique take on Norwegian outdoor life.
A Purpose Beyond Information
Our goal with this event is more than just to inform – we want to strengthen relationships, spark new ideas, and celebrate the shared work we do. The excellent feedback we receive from our travellers (currently 4.5 out of 5 in customer satisfaction!) is a testament to what this network achieves together.
We greatly appreciate the great collaboration with our partners. Without them we would not have been able to put together these amazing tours!

Rakfiskfestivalen – A Perfect Ending
During lunchtime and in the evening, we joined the festivities at the Rakfiskfestivalen – a local celebration of Norwegian food culture, centered around the traditional delicacy rakfisk. With music, local food, and a warm atmosphere in the heart of Fagernes, it was the perfect backdrop to round off the day. The shared dinner and concert created a relaxed and enjoyable end to a meaningful gathering.
