Discover Jotunheimen on horseback

Discover the magic of horseback riding in the Norwegian winter mountains, near the enchanting Jotunheimen National Park. This 3.5-hour adventure is suitable for ages 6 and up, making it perfect for couples, families, and friends. Your journey begins at 11:00 am, with a guide briefing you at the farm. After receiving riding equipment and packing your essentials, including a delicious wilderness meal if pre-ordered, you’ll embark on a picturesque ride. Midway, warm up by a campfire with snacks and drinks. Experienced riders can go solo, while beginners receive guidance, crafting cherished memories amidst the snowy landscapes.

Your guide for the day will meet you at the farm, where you will receive some practical information about the trip. You will get the necessary equipment for your ride and pack the food, drink, and trip essentials into the saddle bags. Once you have been assigned your horse for the day, beginners will receive instructions from the guide on how to start, stop and turn. Then you’re ready for the trip.

Halfway through the trip we stop to make a campfire, where we serve some snacks and warm drinks and for those who ordered in advance even a tasty wilderness meal. Your guide is happy to answer any questions about the horses and the area. Maybe she also has some stories to tell. When everyone is feeling refreshed and relaxed after a break, we start the trek back to the farm. Then it’s time to give your goodbye hugs to the horses and thank them for the trip.
