Schedule
Meet up at our kennel close to Beitostølen where you will get known with our huskies who will be part of your team for your dog sledding adventure.
We will start by getting the huskies ready together with you. You will learn how to harnesses the dogs and how to correctly place them in the team. Your guide will share the essential know how and teach you all you have to know, before the trip. The tour is approximately 12 – 15 km long – depending on snow, weather conditions and skills of the participants. An experienced guide will lead the group and the rest of the dog teams will follow behind by instinct along the entire tour. There will be plenty of time to take some stops to enjoy the nature attractions highlights in the area. Normally two people will share a sled, one steering and one sitting on the sledge, changing positions along the trail. Small children can sit together with an adult. If you don’t wish to steer the huskies, just let us know in advance so we can plan ahead.
Our tour leaders and “mushers” are skilled and experienced nature guides, committed to providing an instructive, fun, environmentally friendly and safe adventure.
